The first steps

A clear path from profile
to introduction.

Understand what happens at each stage before you decide what to share.

1. Create your account

Start at Join now and enter the information requested by the registration form. Use an email account you control and a unique password. Confirm your email with the code sent during registration, then sign in. Account email confirmation and company verification are separate steps: confirming your personal email does not create a company-verified badge.

2. Build a profile with context

Open your profile editor to add your professional details, personal introduction, lifestyle preferences, and family information where appropriate. A useful introduction explains both what you do and how you like to live. Review your entries for accuracy and avoid including phone numbers or confidential work details in your public description.

Visibility is selected by section in the editor. Read the Public and Approved only controls carefully, especially for contact information and family details. Save your changes, then review your profile. The service controls which saved details a viewer is allowed to receive; a visibility label is not permission to redistribute someone else’s information.

3. Understand company verification

The Verify Company option starts a work-email code flow. Enter an address you are authorised to use, request a code, and enter it in the verification dialog. Never share the code with another member or a person claiming they can complete verification for you.

The badge describes an email verification step. It is not a guarantee of a person’s current employment, qualifications, income, marital status, intentions, or suitability. Keep your employer information current and contact support if a badge or company entry appears incorrect.

4. Search with an open mind

Use Find a partner to search and combine the available filters. Try a company name, then broaden the city or industry filters if results are limited. Verified-only results are an optional subset, rather than a description of every member. Search availability and the information returned depend on the service and each profile’s sharing settings.

5. Send or respond to a request

Read the person’s introduction before sending a request. Sending expresses interest; it does not create an approved connection. The recipient can review the request in their inbox and choose whether to accept or decline. If accepted, information marked for approved connections may become available to both people.

Pause before approval if you are uncertain about sharing a particular section. A connection is permission to continue an introduction, not an obligation to marry, meet, or provide further information. Respect a decline or a lack of response.

6. Take the conversation forward

Start with ordinary, open questions and listen to the answers. Discuss larger decisions over time, including where you hope to live and how you imagine balancing work and family. Use our conversation guide for prompts and our safety guide before moving an introduction offline.
